Who We Are
Lisa Whitney holds a Bachelors of Social Work degree and has over 30 years of professional experience in the non-profit and social service field. She has served in a variety of director roles including Facilities, Operations, Campus Management, Human Resources, Finance, and Training. When not leading projects in her profession, she is an avid fan of teaching herself how to do fix or create things, learning from her parents since she was a kid. Lisa leads with a can-do mindset, regularly building, repairing, and troubleshooting projects wherever they arise. She is often the “go-to” person when someone is planning a project. Lisa has all the tools and loves a full-day of projects, painting being one of her favorites. Lisa is built for caretaking and stewardship, and has viewed her career as helping people get where they want to be in a kind, thoughtful, deliberate way. Lisa has always dreamed of owning her own business and Steady Roots is the realization of that dream.
Renee Woliver holds a Master of Public Administration from Suffolk University and has over 30 years of professional experience in the non-profit and social service field. She has served in a variety of director roles including Marketing, Operations, and Data Management. Renee is passionate about supporting people to do what they do best and loves working behind the scenes. In 2020 she started her own company providing digital marketing services to small businesses who needed assistance managing their social media and websites, she is the technical brain behind Steady Roots and an excellent partner for a second hand when needed. Renee has run over 10 half-marathons, continues to play ice hockey as a goalie, and is an avid gardner.
